Commissions

Please get in touch if you would like to arrange for me to create a beautiful lifelike custom portrait of your pet.

I just require a good quality reference image to work from - please take a look at my photography page for more information on what makes an ideal reference image.

My portraits are created using premium quality coloured pencils - Derwent Lightfast, Caran d'Ache Pablos and Luminance and Faber Castell Polychromos - on Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper.

All pencils are lightfast so will not fade over time, keeping your portrait looking perfect for years to come.

Pastelmat is available in a range of colours or white, so we can discuss your preference when you place your order.

Prices quoted are for common sizes however most requests can be accommodated.  Please note that the smaller sizes may be unsuitable for multiple pets or full body portraits as I will be unable to adequately capture the desired level of detail.

All dimensions are approximate and based on paper size.

Your pet will be appropriately sized and spaced within the paper area.

Prices

A great deal of care and skill goes into each portrait, which can take many hours to complete. The time it takes will increase along with the size of the piece and number of subjects it contains.

The price reflects the commitment of time and effort I put into my work to ensure you receive a totally unique portrait of your pet to treasure for years to come.

Prices are based on an unframed single animal portrait, supplied mounted and cellophane wrapped.

9 x 12"     -  £200

12 x 16"    -  £250

16 x 20"   - £375

20 x 28"  - £450

Multiple subjects can be captured in the same portrait for a charge of £50 per each additional animal.

Fully insured first class recorded UK postage for unframed portraits is £10 up to size 12x16. £15 for anything larger.

A quote will be provided for shipping of framed pieces, as will that for overseas delivery.

Local collection is also available.

A non refundable booking fee of 25% is required to secure your commission, with the balance payable on completion.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card via PayPal.

Framing

A good quality mount and frame is the very best way to complement and protect your new portrait.

As what makes the ideal frame for your portrait is such a personal choice, it is not one I would like to make for you. Therefore all my portraits are supplied unframed.

If however you would like to receive your artwork professionally framed and ready to hang, I am happy to help arrange this through the excellent local framer I use for all my own pieces.

With hundreds of mouldings to choose from, we are bound to be able to find the perfect match for your requirements.

Gift Certificates

I appreciate only too well how quickly time flies by - before you know it that special occasion has arrived and you've not arranged a present.

If you were thinking a portrait of the recipient's pet would make the perfect gift, this ideally needs to be booked months in advance.

A gift certificate could be the perfect solution so please get in touch to discuss your requirements.  I'll add the commission to my diary, giving you an estimated completion date and produce a personalised certificate that can be given to the recipient on their big day.  I'm now taking bookings for 2020 and with Christmas 2019 just around the corner, don't hesitate to order your gift certificates as spaces are limited.
